Sorare is a digital fantasy football manager where the real-life performances of football players are evaluated through a detailed scoring system. These points are awarded to your digital collectible cards, which you use to compete against other managers in various competitions.

In Sorare, you create a team of five players for each competition (SO5). Each position is fixed:

• Keeper

• Defender

• Midfielder

• Forward

• Extra Field Player

With this team, you participate in weekly competitions that follow the real matchdays. Each weekend counts separately.

How are points generated from real player performances?

Points are based on real match data such as:

• Goals & assists

• Passing accuracy

• Duels won

• Clean sheets

• Defensive actions

The better a player performs in the real game, the more points your card earns.

Depending on the competition and your finishing position, you can earn different rewards in Sorare. These include cash rewards, new digital player cards, signed jerseys, VIP tickets, as well as exclusive stadium and special football experiences. The specific rewards depend on the game mode and the points you achieve.

In-Season Competitions offer large cash prizes, but each card can only be used in the current season.

Afterwards, every card (regardless of its season) can be used in Classic competitions.

Sorare Cards and Their Function:

Card Rarity

The rarity of Sorare cards determines your budget and your chances of winning. In Common mode, you can start from €0. For a small budget, Limited cards are suitable, and with a higher budget, you can go for Rare or even rarer cards like Super Rare and Unique. Each level offers different prizes and opportunities in the game.

Classic Cards vs. In-Season Cards

In Sorare, there are two main types of cards: In-Season and Classic. In-Season cards come from the current season and allow you to participate in all In-Season competitions, including Hotstreaks with attractive cash and card prizes. They also receive a 5% In-Season bonus, which increases their scoring during the season.

At the end of the season, In-Season cards automatically become Classic cards. These remain in your collection permanently and can still be used in Classic competitions, but without the In-Season bonus. Classic cards are ideal for building long-term teams and continuing to use players without their seasonal performance varying significantly from start to finish.

The main difference: In-Season cards are worthwhile for short-term top prizes and Hotstreaks, while Classic cards are stable for long-term team planning and strategic lineups. This way, you can also join mid-season, purchase In-Season cards that have already proven their performance, or use Classic cards to save costs and remain flexible in the long run.
